The Scottish Veterans Commissioner is not an ombudsman, I do not therefore have the power to investigate individual cases, and I am unable to provide direct support.
However, if you are a member of the veterans community seeking information, advice or support, I recommend the below services.
Operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, Veterans Gateway acts as a first point of contact, working to connect you with the most suitable support services as early as possible. You can contact Veterans Gateway using one of the methods listed here.
If you are an older veteran over the age of 65 and are seeking support, or you wish to refer an older veteran for support, Unforgotten Forces is a consortium of 15 organisations led by Poppyscotland to deliver services in a range of areas.
You can get more information about the partners and getting in touch here.
Veterans Assist offers a useful website designed to signpost Armed Forces personnel and their families to a range of services best placed to help with the information, advice and support they need from across Scotland.

Support for veterans during the coronavirus pandemic
Following the successful rollout of the vaccination programme we are seeing a gradual return to normal life. However, the COVID-19 situation continues to represent a challenging and uncertain time for many.
I would continue to urge everyone to follow the official guidance issued by the UK and Scottish Governments, and I would also ask everyone to continuing looking out for each other and to keep in touch or help those who you know may be particularly vulnerable or experiencing social isolation.
In addition to the links above, below are some helpful links where you can find further information, support and advice for anyone who may need it.
